Toronto Tempo and EngageRM Announce Landmark Strategic Partnership

EngageRM has announced a long-term strategic partnership with Toronto Tempo, Canada's first WNBA team, marking the company's official entry into the Canadian market.
The partnership will see EngageRM establish a dedicated Canadian entity and support the Tempo — who enter the league in 2026 — with its full suite of technology across ticketing, premium seating, partnerships, marketing and data analytics.
"Having served as President of Basketball Australia and a board member of the WNBL, I've seen firsthand how the women's game continues to grow," said Ned Coten, EngageRM's President and Executive Chairman. "We're thrilled to bring our expertise in fan engagement, partnerships and premium experiences to Toronto Tempo."
Toronto Tempo CFO Patrick Lee said the partnership would let the team engage fans and partners from day one, pointing to EngageRM's track record with NBA teams and venues. The deal also brings EngageRM into collaboration with industry partners including Microsoft, Ticketmaster and Fanatics.
Tim Barber, EngageRM's Chief Commercial Officer, who led the deal, said helping build a WNBA franchise from the ground up was a unique opportunity, extending EngageRM's basketball credentials that already include the LA Lakers, LA Clippers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans.
About Toronto Tempo
Announced by the WNBA in May 2024 as the league's first team outside the United States, Toronto Tempo is owned by Kilmer Sports Ventures and will begin play in the 2026 season as the WNBA's 14th franchise.
