Why Arsenal Women are 20k ahead of the rest

Arsenal Women's average attendance this Women's Super League season sits at 35,006 — more than 23,000 clear of second place, and higher than ten Premier League men's clubs. They've sold out the Emirates Stadium three times and hold all six of the WSL's highest-attended matches.
Getting the pricing right
Tickets for marquee fixtures against Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United were priced from £12 to £18 depending on how early fans bought in, a tiered structure that rewarded early purchases and drove sell-outs. Twelve thousand "home advantage" season-ticket packs for Emirates fixtures sold out weeks into the season, contributing to a 63% rise in total ticket sales on last season.
Building a community
Manager Jonas Eidevall has spoken about creating an environment where fans feel they belong, not just a following built on results. Riding the profile boost from the 2022 Euros and 2023 World Cup — in which Arsenal players featured prominently — the club has actively connected its own stars to the wider national-team narrative on its channels.
Managing the gap
Arsenal's football services executive Jodie Taylor has cautioned that growth at the top of the women's game risks widening the gap with smaller clubs, and that continued investment across the league matters as much as growth at the very top.
Arsenal's formula — targeting casual fans, building genuine community, and getting pricing right — offers a template, but even the WSL's best-attended club is still working out what sustainable growth looks like long-term.
